Throwback to School

For Maryville University, Millennials largely make up the demographic of both current and prospective students seeking to further their careers through higher education.

With this knowledge, we devised an insight-led social campaign focused on how nostalgic Millennials are for 90s culture.

The goal was to position Maryville as a fun and relatable university while simultaneously driving engagement and education for the school’s many program offerings.

Role and Results

Operating as both the Creative Strategist as well as the Lead Copywriter on this project, I worked closely with the client, account, and design teams to deliver historic organic engagement numbers for Maryville University Online across multiple channels.

While this campaign solely ran across organic social, I believe the concept could’ve easily been incorporated into results-driven paid media campaigns with corresponding email triggers and nostalgia-driven brand ambassador partnerships to boot.

Fortunately, we were able to incorporate an interactive “mixtape” into the campaign, curated by our audience into an official playlist on Spotify.
